EXAMINATION SESSION:

All tests to receive credits are held at the last lessons in each discipline in accordance with the schedule. Students who do not pass the tests on time have an opportunity to retake them before the beginning of the examination session. Prescheduled examinations are prohibited. A student has the right to two attempts to retake an exam or pass the test for the credit within the set time limits. The attempts to retake an exam is carried out in the presence of commissions specially created by the departments under the chairmanship of the head of the department. Students who do not pass the exams on time have the right to retake the exams and pass the tests of the subjects within the period established by the dean of the faculty.

RATING SYSTEM:

To increase the motivation of students to obtain profound and solid knowledge at UlSPU, rating assessment of the academic work of each student has been introduced. Based on the results of the academic rating, the “Best Classes of the University/Faculty” are formed; increased scholarships are awarded; priority right is given to admission to master’s degree. When attending at least 85% of classes and receiving more than 50% of the maximum possible number of points in the discipline, including at least half of the maximum points for each of the compulsory control measures, by the decision of the teacher, the credit can be set "automatically" (without the exam taking procedure).

The ratings of each student during the term are determined by the following indicators:

·        attending classes; classwork;

·        homework;

·        appropriate communication with the teachers and University staff; hard work; general knowledge.

TRANSFER AND EXPULSION:

According to the Charter of UlSPU, a student can be expelled from the University:

·        at their own request;

·        due to transfer to another educational institution;

·        due to health reasons;

·        due to graduation from university;

·        for the failure to fulfill obligations written in agreements (contracts) on paid education;

·        absence without a proper excuse;

·        for violation of the university rules and regulations;

·        for failure to comply with the curriculum or for receiving an unsatisfactory grade at the state final certification.

REINSTATEMENT AT UNIVERSITY

It is allowed within five years after expulsion from university due to a valid excuse (for an unexcused reason - within three years) while maintaining the basis of education (free or paid), in accordance with which the student studied before the expulsion, if there are vacant places.

ABSENCES AT LESSONS:

Academic leave for medical reasons is granted to the student based on the conclusion of the medical advisory commission of the Student Clinic and the Dean's office of your faculty.
